Alec Markarian is a Technical Specialist at Kubota & Basol LLP with a background in electrical engineering. At K&B, he drafts and prosecutes patent applications and responds to office actions before the U.S. and international patent offices. His technical focus includes user interfaces, analog and digital circuits, medical devices, and virtual and mixed reality systems.

Alec earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he developed and tested advanced electronic systems, including a custom-built contactless thermometer circuit. Before joining K&B, he worked as an engineering student in the Los Angeles County Public Works Design Division, contributing to drafting plans, compiling engineering data, and performing technical calculations for public infrastructure projects.

Outside of work, Alec enjoys playing sports, listening to music, and exploring new travel destinations.
